Solid connector
Does exactly what it says on the tin. The hole size is accurate for a 1/2 inch bolt. Only giving 4 stars because the bulk packaging can be a bit messy to store if you only need a few units.

Perfect fit for heavy duty applications
These connectors are exactly what I needed for my industrial control panel project. The crimp holds securely on 20AWG wire, and the #1/2 stud size matches my busbar perfectly. High quality TE product as expected.

Great for prototyping
I use these frequently for building test rigs. The 20AWG capacity is ideal for signal and low-power control lines that still need a mechanically strong connection point. Highly recommend.

Standard industrial grade component
Bought these for maintenance work on machinery. They meet all the specifications listed. The tin plating makes soldering easy if needed, though they are designed for crimping. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Reliable electrical connection
Used these in a custom audio setup requiring robust grounding points. The non-insulated design allows for tight stacking on the terminal post. No corrosion issues after six months of use.

Good quality but check your tooling
The ring terminals themselves are excellent quality copper with good plating. Just make sure you have the correct PIDG crimping tool, as standard tools might not give the proper compression profile for these specific parts.
Q: Is this connector insulated or bare metal?
A: This is a non-insulated ring terminal, meaning the metal body is exposed except for the crimp barrel area which accepts the wire.
Q: Can these be used outdoors?
A: While the electro-tin plating offers some corrosion resistance, since these are non-insulated, they should be installed in an enclosure or treated with additional protective coating if exposed to harsh outdoor elements.
Q: What is the inner diameter of the ring?
A: The inner diameter corresponds to a #1/2 stud size, which is approximately 0.53 inches (13.5 mm) to fit standard 1/2 inch bolts comfortably.
Q: Do I need a special tool to install these?
A: Yes, for optimal performance and reliability, it is recommended to use a TE Connectivity PIDG compatible crimping tool designed for non-insulated terminals.
Q: What is the maximum wire gauge this can accept?
A: This specific part number (2-328975-2) is designed specifically for 20 AWG wires. Using thicker or thinner wires may result in a poor connection.
