Perfect for festival performances
We used these for our Torch Festival celebration last week. They held up well under stage lights and produced a clear, projecting tone.

A unique cultural treasure
I bought this as a collector's item and I am thrilled. It arrived well-packaged, and the seller included a small guide on how to tune it properly.

Great instrument, needs minor tuning
The quality is excellent for the price. It needed some adjustment out of the box, but once tuned, it plays beautifully for the Left-Foot Dance.

Exceeded my expectations
The embroidery work is even more vibrant in person. It is not just an instrument but a piece of art that represents Yi culture wonderfully.

Good value for traditional music
Solid construction and nice aesthetics. The neck is smooth to play on. I deducted one star only because the carrying case was sold separately.
Q: Can this be used for modern pop music or only traditional folk songs?
A: While designed for traditional Yi folk music and dances, its versatile tone allows it to be adapted for various musical genres including fusion and pop.
Q: Are replacement strings available if one breaks?
A: Yes, standard high-tension nylon guitar strings can be used as replacements, or you can purchase our specific Yi Moon Lute string set from our accessories page.
Q: Does this instrument come with a carrying case?
A: No, the carrying case is sold separately to keep the base price lower, but we recommend purchasing one for protection during travel.
Q: Is this suitable for beginners who have never played a string instrument?
A: Yes, the four-string setup is relatively approachable for beginners, though we suggest watching online tutorials specific to the Moon Lute technique.
Q: How do I maintain the wood finish in a dry climate?
A: We recommend using a humidifier in the room where the instrument is stored and occasionally applying a light coat of natural wood oil to prevent cracking.
