Good value bundle
As a beginner, getting four cymbals and a stand in one box was great value. The CY5 is a bit basic compared to the others, but it serves its purpose well for hi-hats or effects.

Perfect expansion for my V-Drums kit
These cymbals feel incredibly realistic. The choke function on the CY12 works flawlessly, and the stand is sturdy enough to handle vigorous playing. Highly recommended for anyone looking to expand their setup.

Seamless integration
Plugged these directly into my TD-17 module, and they were recognized immediately. No complex calibration needed. The build quality feels premium and professional.

Built to last
I've been gigging with this set for three months now, and there is no sign of wear. The mounting clamps hold tight even during transport. Best investment for my electronic kit.

Great sound, minor assembly quirks
The triggering is accurate and the rubber surface has a nice feel. Assembly of the stand took a bit longer than expected due to the instructions, but once set up, it's rock solid.

Excellent dynamic response
I use these primarily for jazz practice, and the dynamic range is impressive. Soft taps register clearly, and hard hits don't trigger falsely. The CY13 ride cymbal is my favorite part of the bundle.
Q: Is assembly hardware included for mounting these on existing stands?
A: Yes, the package includes all necessary wing nuts, felts, and sleeves required to mount the cymbals on the included RDY-C1 stand or most standard acoustic drum cymbal stands.
Q: Does the RDY-C1 stand accommodate all four cymbals simultaneously?
A: The RDY-C1 stand is designed as a multi-arm stand capable of holding multiple cymbals. However, depending on your spacing preferences, you might need an additional boom arm or separate stand for optimal positioning of all four pieces.
Q: Can I use regular drumsticks on these electronic cymbals?
A: Absolutely. These cymbals are designed to be played with standard wooden or nylon-tip drumsticks. Using metal brushes or extremely heavy mallets is not recommended as it may damage the rubber surface over time.
Q: Are these cymbals compatible with non-Roland drum modules?
A: Yes, these cymbals use standard 1/4-inch TRS connections and can work with most third-party electronic drum modules that support dual-zone triggers and choke functionality, though some features may require manual mapping.
Q: What is the difference between the CY8 and CY12 models included?
A: Both offer dual-zone triggering and choke capability. The primary difference is size; the CY12 is larger (12 inches) providing a more realistic ride feel and larger hitting surface, while the CY8 is compact (8 inches), ideal for crashes or tighter spaces.
