Excellent exam prop
Used this for my niece's music grade exam. The examiner commented on the clear tone and the traditional design added a nice touch to her performance piece.

Kids love it
Bought this for my daughter's birthday. She loves the colorful artwork and how easy it is to hold. It has survived several drops on the floor without breaking.

Authentic look and feel
As someone familiar with Xinjiang instruments, this is a decent replica for educational purposes. The hand-clapping rhythm comes through clearly. Highly recommend for cultural studies.

Great quality for the price
The wood frame feels sturdy and the jingles are secure. My only minor complaint is that the paint smell was strong upon opening, but it aired out after a day. Great for music exams.

Perfect for our dance recital!
We bought these for our kindergarten class performing a Silk Road themed dance. The painted design is beautiful and matches the Dunhuang aesthetic perfectly. The sound is loud enough to be heard but not ear-piercing.

Good but small
The description says 7-inch, which I knew, but it looks smaller in person. Still, it works well for toddlers. The tone is pleasant.
Q: Is the wood treated to prevent splinters?
A: Yes, the wooden frame is sanded smooth and sealed with a non-toxic finish, making it safe for children to handle during kindergarten activities.
Q: What is the cleaning method for the painted surface?
A: Please wipe gently with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid using water or chemical cleaners as they may fade the hand-painted Dunhuang design.
Q: Is this drum suitable for outdoor performances?
A: Yes, the synthetic drumhead is resistant to minor humidity changes, making it suitable for short outdoor events. However, we recommend storing it indoors when not in use.
Q: Does this come with a beater or stick?
A: No, this tambourine is designed to be played by hand clapping or shaking. It does not include a beater, which is typical for this style of Uyghur hand drum.
Q: Can the jingles be removed if they are too loud?
A: The jingles are riveted securely to the frame for safety and durability. We do not recommend removing them as it may damage the structural integrity of the instrument.
