Solid choice for weathering
Works great not just for panel lining but also for light weathering effects around vents and joints. Just be careful with matte plastics as it can stain.

Best in class for dark lines
I have tried several brands, but Tamiya remains the gold standard. The capillary action is incredible; it pulls itself right into the panel lines automatically.

Great results but needs thinner
The black tone is very rich. I found it slightly thick straight from the bottle, so adding a drop of enamel thinner made it flow even better for fine details.

Consistent quality every time
I use this on almost every kit I build. The gray-black tone is subtle enough to look realistic without making the model look dirty or overdone.

Good but messy for beginners
The product works well, but I struggled with cleaning up the excess. Make sure you have good quality cotton swabs and enamel remover ready before starting.

Essential for Gunpla detailing
This panel liner flows perfectly into the grooves of my Gundam kits. It creates a deep, realistic shadow without staining the plastic too much if wiped off quickly.
Q: How long does the bottle typically last?
A: Depending on usage frequency, a single 40ml bottle can last for 10 to 15 large-scale models since only a small amount is needed per panel line.
Q: What is the best way to remove excess liner?
A: Wait a few minutes for it to set slightly, then gently wipe with a cotton swab dipped in enamel thinner or white spirit. Avoid rubbing too hard.
Q: Can this be used on bare plastic without a top coat?
A: Yes, it is designed to be applied directly to bare plastic. However, always test on a spare runner first to ensure compatibility with your specific kit material.
Q: Will this work on MG and RG scale models?
A: Absolutely. The fine tip applicator makes it ideal for the intricate panel lines found on Master Grade (MG) and Real Grade (RG) kits.
Q: Is this water-based or oil-based?
A: This is an enamel-based product, which means it requires enamel thinner for cleanup and dilution, not water.
