Perfect for traditional pickling
This jar is exactly what I needed for making Sichuan pickles. The water seal works perfectly to keep air out, and the glass is thick and durable. My batch of radishes turned out crunchy and delicious.

Beautiful and functional

Excellent for wine infusion too
Bought this primarily for pickles but ended up using it for infusing fruit wine as well. The glass is clear enough to monitor the color change, and the seal keeps everything fresh. Highly recommend.

Good value for money
Does the job well. The lid fits snugly. Only minor issue is that the ceramic lid is a bit tricky to lift off without spilling the water from the seal if you aren't careful, but you get used to it.

Authentic fermentation results
As someone who grew up eating homemade pickles, this jar brings back memories. It maintains the right environment for lacto-fermentation. My kimchi and pickled cucumbers have never tasted better.
Q: Does it come with a weight to keep vegetables submerged?
A: This specific model does not include an internal weight. However, many customers use a small, clean glass dish or a specialized fermentation weight that fits inside the wide mouth to keep ingredients below the brine.
Q: What is the maximum capacity for solid ingredients?
A: Although the total volume is 5 liters, we recommend filling it up to about 80% (approx. 4 liters) with solid ingredients to leave room for brine and expansion during fermentation.
Q: Can this jar go in the dishwasher?
A: While the glass is durable, we recommend hand washing both the jar and the ceramic lid to preserve the integrity of the seal and prevent thermal shock that could crack the glass.
Q: Do I need to add water to the rim every day?
A: It is recommended to check the water level in the sealing rim every 2-3 days. If the water has evaporated, simply top it up with clean water to maintain the airtight seal.
Q: Is the lid made of clay or ceramic?
A: The lid is made of high-fired ceramic, which is non-porous and easy to clean, ensuring no unwanted flavors transfer to your pickles or wine.
