Stunning detail on the tiger design
The craftsmanship on this 2022 Tiger coin is exceptional. The bimetallic contrast highlights the tiger's features beautifully. It arrived in perfect condition within its protective capsule.

Nice design, slightly smaller than expected
The design is lovely and very detailed. I just thought it would be slightly larger based on photos, but the 27mm size is standard for this denomination. Still very happy with the purchase.

Great gift for family members
Bought several of these as gifts for family members born in the year of the tiger. They loved them. Only giving 4 stars because shipping took a bit longer than expected.

Perfect addition to my collection
I have been collecting the second series lunar coins for years, and this tiger edition is one of the best yet. The finish is brilliant and the packaging was secure.

Beautiful and affordable
As someone new to coin collecting, this was a great starting point. It is legal tender but clearly meant for collectors. The price point is very reasonable for the quality.
Q: What is the difference between this and the first series lunar coins?
A: This belongs to the Second Series, which features updated designs, different dimensions, and bimetallic composition for the 10 Yuan denomination, whereas the First Series had different specifications and monometallic compositions for some years.
Q: Can I spend this coin at regular stores?
A: Technically yes, as it is legal tender for 10 Yuan, but most merchants may not recognize it as a circulating coin and prefer standard currency. It is recommended to keep it for collection.
Q: Is this coin considered legal tender in China?
A: Yes, this 10 Yuan coin is issued by the People's Bank of China and functions as legal tender, though it is primarily collected for its commemorative value.
Q: Does the package include a certificate of authenticity?
A: This specific circulating memorial coin typically comes in a protective plastic capsule but does not include a separate paper certificate of authenticity like proof versions do.
Q: Is the inner core made of silver?
A: No, the inner core is made of a white metal alloy (typically nickel), not silver. The outer ring is nickel-brass, giving it a gold-like appearance.
