Beautiful craftsmanship
The attention to detail on the brass rim is impressive. It feels heavy and durable. I deducted one star only because the cork was slightly stiff at first, but it softened up after a few uses.

Great collectible accessory
Bought this as part of a collection of traditional wine vessels. It looks authentic and functions well. The polished brass shines beautifully against the natural color of the dried gourd.

Sturdy and reliable
This stopper is much sturdier than the plastic ones I've seen elsewhere. The brass rim prevents the cork from cracking when inserting or removing it. Highly recommended for anyone using natural gourds.

Perfect fit for my vintage gourd
I was worried about finding a stopper that would fit my oversized wine gourd, but this large brass-rimmed plug is perfect. The cork creates an airtight seal, and the brass adds a beautiful touch of elegance to the rustic vessel.

Lovely aesthetic
It transforms the look of my wine gourd entirely. The antique finish matches my kitchen decor perfectly. Just ensure you measure your gourd opening carefully before ordering the large size.
Q: Is the brass real or plated?
A: The rim is made from solid brass with a polished antique finish, ensuring durability and a premium look over time.
Q: Can this be used for liquids other than wine?
A: Absolutely! While designed for wine gourds, it works well for sealing any dry or liquid contents in compatible natural vessels, such as water or infused oils.
Q: Will this fit a gourd with a 2.8-inch opening?
A: Yes, the Large size is designed to fit openings between 2.5 and 3.0 inches, so a 2.8-inch opening should be a perfect match.
Q: How do I clean the brass if it tarnishes?
A: You can gently polish the brass rim with a standard brass cleaner or a mixture of lemon juice and baking soda to restore its shine. Avoid getting the cleaning agents on the cork.
Q: Does the cork need to be replaced eventually?
A: Like all natural cork products, it may wear out over several years of heavy use. However, with proper care and occasional conditioning, it can last a very long time.
