Beautiful natural texture
Arrived well-packaged. The semi-finished state means I have to do some sanding, but that is expected. The color variation is unique to each piece.

Perfect for DIY ornaments
I bought this to make small figurines. The wood cuts smoothly and holds fine details very well. Highly recommend for intermediate carvers.

Smells amazing
Even before finishing, the scent fills the room. The density suggests it will last a lifetime if treated properly. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Good addition to my collection
Interesting shape and very old wood feel. One side had a small crack, but it adds character. Just be careful when handling raw pieces.

Excellent aged material for carving
The grain on this Thuja handpiece is stunning. It smells wonderful and the wood is dense enough for detailed work without splitting. Perfect for my next ornament project.
Q: Does this come with any finish applied?
A: No, this item is sold as raw, semi-finished material. No wax, oil, or varnish has been applied, allowing you to choose your own finishing method.
Q: Is the wood treated with any chemicals?
A: No, our Thuja handpieces are 100% natural and have not been treated with pesticides or chemical preservatives. They are safe for indoor crafting and display.
Q: Can I return this if the grain pattern isn't what I expected?
A: Since this is a natural wood product, variations in grain and color are normal. However, if the item arrives damaged or significantly different from the photos, please contact us within 7 days.
Q: Is this wood ready to use immediately or does it need drying?
A: This is aged material and is generally stable, but as a semi-finished raw product, we recommend letting it acclimate to your local humidity for 2-3 days before heavy carving.
Q: What tools are best for working with this Thuja handpiece?
A: Due to the density of aged Thuja, sharp high-carbon steel chisels or rotary tools with carbide bits work best. Ensure your tools are honed to prevent tearing the grain.
