Lovely piece, minor natural imperfection
The carving is beautiful. There is a tiny natural knot on the back, but since it's natural wood, I consider it a feature rather than a defect. It adds character. Shipping was fast.

Great gift for collectors
Bought this for my father who loves wood carvings. He was impressed by the weight and the density of the wood. The packaging was also very secure and elegant.

A true work of art
This is my third purchase from this series. The quality remains consistent. The jade-like texture is not an exaggeration; it is polished to perfection. Makes a great conversation starter on my desk.

Exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful grain
The detail on the dragon head is incredible. You can tell this was carved by a master. The wood feels incredibly smooth, almost like stone, and the oil content gives it a wonderful deep color.

Beautiful item, slight scent variation
The carving is stunning and matches the photos perfectly. The scent is very mild, which I actually prefer, though I know some expect a stronger aroma from Thuja. Still a great collectible.

Perfect size for holding
I bought this as a handpiece to hold while working, and it fits perfectly in the palm. The 'sugar-heart' wood has a unique pattern that changes slightly under different lighting. Very satisfied.
Q: Is the wood treated with any artificial oils or waxes?
A: No, the high-oil appearance is natural to the aged Thuja sugar-heart wood. It is polished mechanically without the addition of artificial waxes or chemical treatments to preserve its authenticity.
Q: Are the dimensions exact for every piece?
A: Since each piece is hand-carved from natural wood, there may be slight variations of 1-3mm in dimensions and a few grams in weight. This uniqueness is part of the charm of handmade collectibles.
Q: What does 'Sugar-Heart' mean in this context?
A: 'Sugar-Heart' refers to the dense, resin-rich core of the aged Thuja tree. This part of the wood is prized for its durability, rich color, and ability to take a high polish, resembling jade.
Q: How should I care for the wood to maintain its shine?
A: To maintain the jade-like luster, we recommend occasionally wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight for prolonged periods or contact with water and harsh chemicals.
Q: Does this carving come with a stand or display case?
A: The item comes in a premium gift box suitable for storage or display. A separate wooden stand is not included, but the flat base of the gourd allows it to sit securely on any flat surface.
