Excellent replica quality
As a collector of military memorabilia replicas, I am very picky. This badge exceeds expectations for the price point. The gold tone is rich, and the aging effect doesn't look like cheap paint; it looks like genuine wear.

Great gift for history buffs
My father loved receiving this as a birthday present. The craftsmanship is evident in the fine details of the navy emblem. I took off one star only because the velvet pouch was slightly frayed at the seam, but the coin itself is perfect.

Good value, realistic look
The coin looks great and matches the description perfectly. It is clearly a replica and not an official issued item, which is exactly what I wanted for my display case. Shipping was fast and secure.

Beautifully crafted
The attention to detail on the navy insignia is remarkable. You can see the texture of the uniform and the letters clearly. It's a beautiful piece of art that honors the theme of courage well.

Stunning detail for a prop piece
I bought this for a theater production set in the mid-20th century. The artificially aged finish looks incredibly authentic under stage lights. It has a nice weight to it, feeling substantial in the hand without being too heavy.

Perfect desk accessory
I keep this on my desk as a conversation starter. Everyone who sees it asks where I got it. It feels very premium and the handmade aspect really shows in the unique variations of the patina.
Q: Can this be engraved with a name?
A: We do not offer custom engraving services directly on this specific handmade item due to the aged finish process. However, the surface is smooth enough for a local jeweler to potentially engrave it if desired.
Q: What are the exact dimensions again?
A: The coin measures exactly 1.75 inches (44.5 mm) in diameter and is 0.12 inches (3 mm) thick, making it a standard large challenge coin size.
Q: Is the packaging suitable for gifting?
A: Yes, each coin comes in a soft black velvet pouch which is presentation-ready. Many customers purchase this specifically as a gift without needing additional wrapping.
Q: Does the gold color fade over time?
A: The alloy is plated with a durable antique gold finish. While normal handling may cause slight wear over many years, keeping it in the included velvet pouch when not displayed will preserve the finish indefinitely.
Q: Is this an officially issued US Navy medal?
A: No, this is a handmade replica prop designed for collectors, displays, and theatrical use. It is not an official government-issued award.
