Calming presence
There is something very grounding about having this on my office shelf. The wood grain is unique and the symbolism of the Qilin brings a nice positive vibe to the room.

Beautiful but smaller than expected
The ornament is gorgeous and feels very solid. I just wished it was slightly larger based on the photos, but the quality makes up for the size. Great desk accessory.

High quality wood
The sandalwood feels authentic and dense. The carving is sharp and well-defined. Only giving 4 stars because the velvet pouch included was a bit thin, but the ornament itself is 5 stars.

Exquisite craftsmanship
The detail on the Qilin is absolutely stunning. You can tell this was carved by hand with great care. The green sandalwood has a subtle, pleasant scent that isn't overpowering.

Perfect gift for a collector
Bought this for my father who loves Wenwan crafts. He was thrilled with the intricate details of the scales and mane. The packaging was also very premium.

A true work of art
I collect mythical beast figurines and this is one of the best wooden pieces I own. The proportion of the Qilin is traditional and dignified. Highly recommended for enthusiasts.
Q: How strong is the sandalwood scent?
A: The scent is mild and earthy, typical of aged sandalwood. It is noticeable when you first open the box or bring it close to your nose, but it is not overwhelming like synthetic fragrances.
Q: Can this be used as a paperweight?
A: Yes, weighing approximately 120 grams, it is heavy enough to function effectively as a decorative paperweight for standard sheets of paper.
Q: Does it come with a stand or display base?
A: The ornament is designed to sit flat on its own due to its wide base. It does not come with a separate stand, but it includes a high-quality velvet pouch and a rigid gift box for storage or display.
Q: What is the meaning behind the Qilin in this context?
A: In Chinese culture, the Qilin is an auspicious mythical beast symbolizing good fortune, prosperity, and longevity. It is often kept to invite positive energy and luck into a home or workspace.
Q: Is this made from real sandalwood or is it painted?
A: This ornament is carved from genuine natural green sandalwood. The color and grain are natural characteristics of the wood, not painted or dyed.
