Beautiful natural patterns
The 'Toad Head' pattern is distinct and unique on each nut. As they age and develop a patina, I expect them to look even more golden. A fantastic addition to my collection.

Exceptional sound and texture
The croaking sound these walnuts make when rubbed together is incredibly crisp. The legs and eyes are very pronounced, making them a joy to hold. Truly a high-quality first-generation pair.

Great for daily exercise
I use these every morning for hand stimulation. They fit comfortably in the palm. The only reason for 4 stars is that one walnut is slightly heavier than the other, but it's barely noticeable.

Solid construction
The craftsmanship of nature is evident here. The shell is thick and the sound is resonant. Shipping was fast and packaging protected the delicate features well.

Perfect starter pair for enthusiasts
Although labeled as collectible, they are durable enough for beginners. The closed tip prevents dirt from getting inside easily. Highly recommend for anyone starting their Wenwan journey.

Authentic Yanqing quality
You can tell these are from the old trees. The density is perfect, and the open back design allows for great airflow during play. Very satisfied with this purchase.
Q: Are these walnuts treated with any oils or waxes?
A: No, these are sold in their natural state. Any oil or wax application should be done by the collector over time as part of the patina development process.
Q: How do I clean these walnuts without damaging the surface?
A: We recommend using a soft bristle brush to remove dust gently. Avoid using water or chemical cleaners; simply wipe with a dry cloth after handling.
Q: Can I return them if the size doesn't fit my hand?
A: Yes, we offer a 7-day return policy provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Please check the dimensions in the product specs before ordering.
Q: What makes the 'croaking sound' specific to this variety?
A: The unique internal structure and the thickness of the shell in the Golden Toad Lion's Head variety create a hollow, resonant frequency that resembles a croak when the nuts strike each other.
Q: Does this pair come with a protective case?
A: Yes, each pair comes with a traditional breathable cloth pouch and a hard wooden box for safe storage.
