Exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful wood grain
The detail on this Pixiu is incredible. You can see every scale and muscle definition. The red sandalwood has a wonderful deep color and a smooth feel that gets better the more you hold it.

Perfect size for a pocket piece
At 8cm, it fits perfectly in my hand for stress relief while working. The weight feels substantial and high-quality. It smells faintly of sweet wood, which is very calming.

Great gift for collectors
Bought this for my father who loves Wenwan items. He was thrilled with the authenticity of the wood and the traditional style of the Pixiu. Packaging was also very secure.

Lovely design, slightly darker than photo
The carving is fantastic and very detailed. The wood color is slightly darker than it appeared on my screen, but still very beautiful. It feels very solid and well-made.

Beautiful but requires care
Stunning piece of art. The carving is very fine. Just remember that red sandalwood can be sensitive to dry climates, so I had to condition it immediately upon arrival. Otherwise, flawless.

Smooth finish and great texture
The polishing job is superb. There are no rough edges anywhere. It has developed a nice patina after just two weeks of daily handling. Highly recommend for anyone interested in wooden ornaments.
Q: How should I clean this wooden ornament?
A: Please do not use water or chemical cleaners. Simply wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. If the wood appears dry, apply a tiny amount of natural wood wax or olive oil sparingly.
Q: Does the Pixiu have any moving parts?
A: No, this is a solid, single-piece carving designed for holding and display. There are no moving parts or loose components.
Q: What does the Pixiu symbolize in this context?
A: In traditional Chinese culture, the Pixiu is an auspicious beast believed to attract wealth and protect against negative energy. It is a popular motif for Wenwan collectibles.
Q: Is this made from genuine small-leaf red sandalwood?
A: Yes, this piece is carved from solid small-leaf red sandalwood, known for its density and fine grain. We provide a certificate of material authenticity with each order.
Q: Will the color of the wood change over time?
A: Yes, like all natural red sandalwood, the color may deepen and darken slightly over time with exposure to air and handling, developing a richer patina that many collectors appreciate.
