Perfect for my Hanfu project!
The blue gradient is absolutely stunning and looks exactly like the photos. The chiffon is lightweight and drapes beautifully. I made a traditional Hanfu dress and received so many compliments.

Great quality, slight color variation
The fabric feels very soft and is easy to sew. The tie-dye pattern is lovely, though the blue on my roll was slightly lighter than expected. Still great value for the price.

Nice but wrinkles easily
The color and pattern are beautiful, but as with most chiffon, it wrinkles very easily. You will need to iron it on low heat before using. Good for the price though.

Fast shipping and beautiful material

Dreamy fabric

Excellent for layering
Bought this for my wife's costume design. The semi-sheer nature makes it perfect for layering over other fabrics without adding bulk. The color holds well after washing.
Q: Is this fabric suitable for making a full lining for a dress?
A: Since this is a semi-sheer chiffon, it is best used as an outer layer or for flowing sleeves. For a full lining, we recommend pairing it with an opaque cotton or polyester lining fabric.
Q: Is the 'Island Blue' color consistent across different batches?
A: While we strive for consistency, natural tie-dye processes can result in slight variations between batches. Each piece is unique, which adds to the handmade aesthetic.
Q: Does the dye bleed when washed?
A: The fabric is pre-washed during production to minimize bleeding. However, we always recommend hand washing in cold water separately for the first few washes to be safe.
Q: Can I use regular sewing machine needles for this?
A: Yes, but for best results with chiffon, we suggest using a sharp microtex needle (size 70/10 or 80/12) to prevent snagging the delicate fibers.
Q: What is the minimum yardage I can purchase?
A: We sell this fabric by the meter. The minimum order quantity is 1 meter. Please select your desired length from the dropdown menu on the product page.
