Exceeded expectations for exam prep

Solid choice for intermediates
Very happy with this purchase. The bag provided is padded well enough for local transport. The only reason for 4 stars is that the strings were a bit stiff initially, but they loosened up after playing.

Perfect for travel and practice
I needed a smaller guzheng for my apartment and trips to visit family. This one-meter model sounds surprisingly full for its size. The carving is exquisite and feels very sturdy.

Beautiful craftsmanship
The Ruyi carving on the headstock is stunning. It looks even better in person than in the photos. The sound is bright and crisp, ideal for solo performances.

Great tone, minor setup needed
The wood quality is excellent and the resonance is clear. I had to adjust the bridges slightly out of the box to get the intonation perfect, but that is normal. Highly recommend for students.

A: Yes, the solid paulownia wood is seasoned and treated with a protective lacquer finish to help maintain stability in varying humidity levels. We still recommend using a humidifier in extremely dry environments.
