Perfect for my daughter's first instrument

Beautiful sound, minor shipping delay
The guzheng itself is fantastic. The tone is resonant and the strings are easy to press for a beginner like me. Only giving 4 stars because shipping took a day longer than estimated, but the packaging was very secure.
Q: Can I use this outdoors for a garden party?
A: While you can use it outdoors temporarily, we strongly advise against leaving it exposed to direct sunlight, rain, or extreme humidity for long periods. Wood instruments are sensitive to environmental changes which can affect tuning and structure.
Q: Does this come fully assembled or do I need to install the bridges?
A: The Guzheng arrives with the strings attached, but you will need to place the movable bridges according to the included diagram. It is a simple process that takes about 10-15 minutes, and instructions are provided.
Q: What is the warranty period for this instrument?
A: All Guzheng purchased from the Dunhuang Official Store come with a 1-year manufacturer warranty covering structural defects and material issues. Normal wear and tear or damage from improper handling is not covered.
Q: Are replacement strings available if one breaks?
A: Yes, standard Dunhuang replacement strings are widely available. We recommend purchasing a full set compatible with the 689E model to ensure consistent tone and tension across all 21 strings.
Q: Is this model suitable for advanced players or just beginners?
A: While the 689E is marketed towards beginners and students due to its playability and price point, many intermediate players also use it for practice and casual performance. Advanced players typically upgrade to higher-end series for concert halls.
