Solid choice for beginners
Bought this for myself as a complete beginner. The action is comfortable, and the strings are not too hard on the fingers. The included case is sturdy enough for transport to lessons.

Worth every penny
This instrument has helped me progress quickly to Grade 8 level. The projection is excellent even in larger rooms. Customer service was also very helpful with initial setup questions.

Perfect for my daughter's exams

Great professional instrument
As an intermediate player, I found the tone very balanced across all registers. The 'Xiang Jian Huan' artwork is stunning in person. Only minor issue was the bridge placement needed slight adjustment.

Exceeded expectations
I was hesitant to buy a guzheng online, but this Dunhuang model is fantastic. The solid wood construction makes a huge difference in sustain compared to laminated models I tried earlier.
Q: Is the stand included in the box?
A: Yes, the 689E-L model comes complete with a folding wooden stand, a padded gig bag, a tuning key, and a set of picks (finger plectrums).
Q: What are the dimensions of the instrument?
A: The standard length is approximately 163 cm (64 inches), width is about 21 cm (8.3 inches), and the height including the bridges is roughly 10 cm (4 inches).
Q: Does this come pre-tuned?
A: The Guzheng is tuned at the factory to standard D tuning, but due to shipping conditions, we recommend checking and adjusting the tuning upon arrival using the included wrench.
Q: Can this handle the tension for advanced Grade 10 pieces?
A: Absolutely. This model is specifically designed with solid paulownia wood to withstand higher string tension required for advanced repertoire up to Grade 10 and professional performance.
Q: How do I care for the lacquer finish?
A: Simply wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth after playing to remove oils. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme humidity changes to preserve the wood and finish longevity.
