Perfect for my balcony garden!
These seedlings arrived healthy and robust. Within three weeks, the vines were already climbing my trellis. The potential for large gourds is evident in the vigorous growth. Highly recommend for urban gardeners.

Good variety for ornaments
Classic treasure gourd genetics. The necks are forming nicely which is what you want for decorative pieces. One seedling was slightly wilted upon arrival but recovered after watering.

Vigorous growth, needs space
Be prepared for these to take over! They grow very fast. I had to prune them back a bit on my small balcony, but the flowers are beautiful and the young gourds look fantastic.

Excellent quality seedlings
No damping off or weak stems. These are strong plants right out of the box. I am excited to see how large they get by autumn. Great value for the price.

Great for hand-rolling projects
I bought these specifically to grow gourds for polishing and crafting. The shape development looks promising so far. The seeds germinated quickly, and the included seedlings gave me a head start.

Thriving in containers
I was worried about growing such large vines in pots, but with regular watering and feeding, they are doing amazing. The leaves are huge and provide nice shade too.
Q: Are the seeds treated with any chemicals?
A: No, our seeds and seedlings are grown naturally without harmful chemical treatments, making them safe for organic gardening practices.
Q: Can these be grown indoors if I have a sunny window?
A: While they need full sun, these vines grow very large and heavy. They are best suited for balconies, patios, or outdoor gardens where they have room to climb and spread.
Q: When is the best time to harvest for hand-rolling?
A: Harvest when the vine starts to dry out and the gourd skin turns hard and brown. You will know it is ready when you can no longer puncture the skin with a fingernail.
Q: How large of a container do I need for these vines?
A: For best results, we recommend a container with at least 5 gallons of volume per plant to support the extensive root system of extra-large gourds.
Q: Do I need to hand-pollinate the flowers?
A: If you have bees in your area, natural pollination usually works well. However, for balcony gardens with fewer insects, hand-pollinating female flowers with male pollen can increase fruit set.
