Good yield, fast growth
Harvested my first batch in just over a month. The large leaves are great for salads. Only giving 4 stars because a few seeds didn't sprout, but overall very satisfied.

Best spinach seeds I've bought
I have tried many brands, but this Shandong variety is superior in heat tolerance. Even in partial shade, they thrive. Will definitely buy again next season.

Perfect for my summer garden!
I was skeptical about growing spinach in the heat, but these seeds germinated quickly and survived the July sun. The red roots are beautiful and the leaves taste sweet.

True to description
These are definitely heat-resistant. My other spinach varieties bolted immediately, but these kept producing fresh leaves throughout the hot spell. Highly recommend for four-season gardening.

Solid performer
Germination rate was about 85% for me. They grow very vigorously if kept watered. The leaves are larger than standard small-leaf varieties which is a nice bonus.

Kids love the red roots
Great educational project for the kids. The red roots make it easy to identify when they are ready to pull. The taste is mild and not bitter at all.
Q: Can these seeds be planted directly in the ground or do they need to be started indoors?
A: These seeds can be sown directly into prepared garden soil. Ensure the soil is loose and well-drained. Plant them about 1-2 cm deep.
Q: What is the spacing requirement between plants?
A: For large-leaf varieties like this, we recommend spacing plants about 15-20 cm apart to allow adequate airflow and room for leaf expansion.
Q: Are these seeds treated with any chemicals?
A: Our seeds are non-GMO and suitable for organic gardening practices. They are not treated with synthetic chemical coatings.
Q: Can I save seeds from the harvested plants for next year?
A: Yes, you can save seeds, but please note that spinach is wind-pollinated. To maintain pure variety, isolate these plants from other spinach varieties by at least 1 mile or use isolation cages.
Q: How often should I water these spinach plants during the summer?
A: During hot summer months, keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Watering every 1-2 days is usually recommended depending on your local climate and soil drainage.
