Beautiful but large

The plant is gorgeous and very well established. Just be aware that it is quite large, bigger than I anticipated from the description. Make sure you have a sturdy table for it. Otherwise, very happy with the purchase.

Stunning centerpiece for my office

Exactly as pictured

Sometimes online plants look different from the photos, but this one was spot on. The root system visible through the glass is actually quite fascinating to watch. A great conversation starter when guests come over.

Excellent air purifier

Bought this to freshen up my home office. Not only does it look amazing with its large split leaves, but I feel like the air quality has improved. The hydroponic method means no gnats or soil spills. Will buy another for the bedroom.

Great plant, minor shipping delay

The plant itself is beautiful and very healthy. The glass pot is thick and high quality. I took off one star because shipping took two days longer than expected, but the packaging kept it safe during the extra time.

Perfect for beginners

I always kill soil plants, but this hydroponic system is foolproof. You just check the water level occasionally. It has already grown two new leaves since I got it three weeks ago. Love the tropical vibe it adds to my living room.

Q: Do I need to change the water completely or just top it off?

A: For best results, we recommend topping off the water when the level drops below the roots. Every 1-2 months, you should replace the water entirely and rinse the roots gently to prevent algae buildup.

Q: Is the glass pot heavy? I want to put it on a floating shelf.

A: Yes, the glass pot combined with the water and the mature plant makes it relatively heavy (approx. 4-5 lbs). We recommend securing your floating shelf properly or placing it on a sturdier surface like a desk or floor stand.

Q: My cat likes to chew on leaves. Is this safe?

A: No, Philodendrons contain calcium oxalate crystals which are toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Please place this plant out of reach of curious pets or consider our pet-safe alternatives like Spider Plants or Calatheas.

Q: What kind of nutrients do I need to add to the water?

A: The plant comes with enough nutrients to last about 2 months. After that, you can add a few drops of liquid hydroponic fertilizer specifically formulated for foliage plants during your water changes.

Q: Can this plant survive in a room with no windows?

A: While Philodendron Hope is tolerant of lower light, it still needs some indirect light to thrive. In a windowless room, we suggest placing it under a standard LED grow light or office fluorescent lighting for at least 6-8 hours a day.
