Nice color variation
The mix of yellow and red potential fruit colors is exciting. The seedlings themselves look healthy and green. Shipping was faster than expected.

Perfect for my balcony garden!
These seedlings arrived in great condition. The soil was moist, and the leaves were vibrant. I love that they are supposed to handle cooler autumn weather. Can't wait to harvest some okra.

Survived the first frost
I was skeptical about the cold resistance claim, but these little guys made it through a light frost on my covered balcony. Very impressed with their resilience.

Good quality, slow start
The plants looked a bit small upon arrival, but after a week in the sun, they perked up nicely. The red variety is particularly striking. Good value for the price.

Great for beginners
I have never grown okra before. The included soil mix seems high quality, and the instructions were clear. These are very forgiving plants for a novice gardener.

One plant didn't make it
Out of the three seedlings, two are thriving, but one seemed root-bound and didn't survive transplanting. The other two are growing fast though.
Q: Is the soil provided organic?
A: Yes, the seedlings are potted in a premium organic potting mix enriched with compost to give them a strong start.
Q: What is the lowest temperature these can withstand?
A: While labeled as cold-resistant for autumn/winter varieties, we recommend protecting them if temperatures drop below 40°F (4°C). They thrive in cool but not freezing conditions.
Q: How much sunlight do these need on a balcony?
A: Okra loves sun! For best results, place them where they can get at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. They can tolerate partial shade but may produce fewer pods.
Q: When will I see the first flowers?
A: Under optimal conditions with enough sun and water, you can expect to see yellow hibiscus-like flowers in about 4 to 6 weeks, followed shortly by the pods.
Q: Do these come ready to plant or do I need to repot them immediately?
A: They arrive in biodegradable pots with soil. You can plant them directly into a larger pot or garden bed without disturbing the roots, which helps reduce transplant shock.
