Fast shipping and great packaging
Impressed by how well these were packaged. No broken stems or crushed leaves. The 8424 variety is known for being sweet, and I can't wait to try them.

Thriving seedlings!
These arrived in perfect condition. The grafting point looks healthy, and they have already started putting out new leaves after just three days in my garden. Excited for the harvest!

Healthy roots
When I transplanted them, the root systems were very robust. One plant was slightly smaller than the other, but both are catching up now. Good value for money.

Good quality, slow start
The plants were small but healthy. It took them about a week to acclimate to my soil, but now they are growing vigorously. Make sure to harden them off before planting.

Best purchase for summer
I've grown watermelons from seed before with mixed results. These grafted seedlings are much stronger and seem more resistant to pests. Highly recommend for beginners.

Perfect for my southern garden
Living in a hot climate, I needed something tough. These Kirin seedlings are handling the heat waves beautifully. Already seeing vines spread across the trellis.
Q: Can I grow these in large containers instead of the ground?
A: Yes, you can grow them in containers that are at least 15-20 gallons. Ensure the pot has excellent drainage and provide a sturdy trellis for the vines to climb.
Q: Do these seedlings need to be pollinated manually?
A: While watermelons can self-pollinate, having bees or other pollinators nearby significantly improves fruit set. Manual pollination is optional but can help if bee activity is low.
Q: How far apart should I plant these?
A: For best results, space the seedlings about 4 to 6 feet apart to allow the vines enough room to spread and ensure proper air circulation.
Q: What should I do if the leaves turn yellow after planting?
A: Yellowing can sometimes occur due to transplant shock or overwatering. Ensure the soil is moist but not soggy, and avoid fertilizing heavily for the first two weeks.
Q: Are these truly seedless when they produce fruit?
A: Yes, the 8424 Kirin variety produces seedless or nearly seedless fruit with only small, soft, edible white seed coats.
