Great water retention
The brush holds water very well, making it excellent for flat washes in watercolor painting. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the handle feels slightly lighter than I expected, but the performance is top-notch.

For the price, this is an excellent brush. The wool quality is consistent, and the ferrule is secure. It took a couple of uses to break in fully, but now it writes beautifully.

A: Yes, the bamboo handle comes with a protective lacquer finish to prevent water damage and ensure a comfortable grip during extended use.
Q: Is this brush suitable for oil painting?
A: This brush is designed primarily for water-based media like ink, watercolor, and gouache, as well as for mounting pastes. We do not recommend using it with oil paints as the solvents may damage the natural wool bristles.
