Simple to use and effective. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the labels on the caps could be slightly larger for easier reading in low light.

Good value for the range
Bought the full set from 30 to 72 dyne. Most work perfectly. One pen in the higher range seemed a bit dry upon arrival, but customer service replaced it quickly.

Essential for our QC lab
These pens are incredibly accurate for testing surface tension on our polyethylene films. The color contrast is excellent, making it easy to see if the ink beads up or spreads evenly.

Fast shipping and well packed
Arrived sooner than expected. Each pen was individually sealed which ensures the ink hasn't evaporated. Very satisfied with this purchase for our printing department.
Q: Can I buy individual refills for specific dyne levels?
A: Currently, we sell these as complete sets or individual new pens. Refill bottles are not available for this specific product line.
Q: Do these pens work on metal surfaces?
A: These pens are specifically formulated for plastic films, foils, and coated surfaces. While they may react on some metals, they are optimized for non-porous polymer materials.
Q: How should I store these pens to maximize shelf life?
A: Please store the pens horizontally at room temperature (approx. 20-25°C) with the caps tightly sealed. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Q: What does it mean if the ink beads up?
A: If the ink beads up within 2 seconds, the surface energy of the material is lower than the dyne level of the pen. If it spreads evenly, the surface energy is equal to or higher than the pen's rating.
Q: Is the ink toxic?
A: The ink contains chemicals typical for dyne testing. Please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) included in the package for specific handling and disposal instructions.
