Perfect starter kit for my son!
My 7-year-old absolutely loves this set. It's lightweight enough for him to hold comfortably, and the telescopic feature makes it easy to store in the car. We caught three small fish on our first trip to the pond!

Good for very young kids
It works well for my 5-year-old, but my 9-year-old found it a bit too short and light. It's definitely designed for the younger end of the recommended age range.

Excellent birthday present
Bought this for my nephew's birthday. He was thrilled! The instructions were clear, and he was able to start fishing within minutes of opening the box. Highly recommend for beginners.

Solid construction
I was surprised by the quality given the low price point. The fiberglass feels flexible but strong. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the lure selection is a bit basic.

Great value but line could be better
The rod itself is sturdy and well-made for the price. The reel works smoothly for a child. I did replace the pre-spooled line with something slightly stronger, but overall a fantastic gift.

Durable and fun
We have used this rod at the beach and in freshwater lakes. It has survived being dropped on rocks and sand without any issues. The tackle box is a nice bonus to keep everything organized.
