Solid build quality
Very sturdy construction. The sensitivity adjustments allow me to use it for low amp TIG welding without issues. The only minor complaint is that the brim is a little wide for tight spaces, but that's expected with a hard hat design.

Best upgrade I've made
Upgraded from a basic passive lens helmet. The view is crystal clear, and the hard top provides peace of mind when working under other trades. The grind mode is easy to flip into when I need to clean up a bead quickly.

No more double gear
Finally, I don't have to wear a welding cap under a separate hard hat. This all-in-one solution keeps me cooler in the summer and saves time getting geared up. The solar battery backup is a nice touch so I never run out of power.

Survived a drop test
Accidentally knocked this off a scaffold onto concrete. Not a crack on it. The hard hat design really does its job. The lens remained intact and functional. Highly recommend for anyone working in rough environments.

Great value, slightly heavy
The optical clarity is excellent and the auto-darkening feature works instantly. It is a bit heavier than my old fiberglass cap style, but the trade-off for the added top-head protection is worth it. Comfortable padding helps reduce neck strain.

Perfect for construction sites

A: This model is sold as the helmet unit only and does not include a carrying case. However, it fits standard large welding helmet bags available separately.

Q: Does this helmet meet OSHA requirements for head protection?
A: Yes, this helmet is ANSI Z87.1 certified, which generally meets OSHA standards for eye and face protection, and the hard hat shell is designed to meet impact resistance standards required for construction headgear.
Q: Is the lens replaceable if it gets scratched?
