Solid performance
No flickering observed. One star off because the pins are a bit close together for thick jumper wires.

Bright and Reliable
These modules are incredibly bright and the colors are accurate. I used them with an ESP32 and the FastLED library worked immediately.

I love the square and round options. Makes fitting them into custom enclosures much easier than standard strips.

Easy to start with
Great for beginners. Plenty of tutorials online for WS2812 chips. Shipping was fast too.
Q: Can I cut the round version?
A: No, these are individual modules. You cannot cut them like a strip, but you can chain them via data out to data in.
Q: What is the current draw per LED?
A: At full brightness white, each LED draws approximately 60mA. Plan your power supply accordingly.
Q: Can these be used outdoors?
A: These modules are not waterproof. You will need to add a waterproof enclosure for outdoor applications.
Q: Do I need a resistor on the data line?
A: It is recommended to use a 300-500 ohm resistor on the data input line to prevent signal spikes.
Q: Are these compatible with Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, but since Pi GPIO is 3.3V, a logic level shifter to 5V is highly recommended for stable operation.
