Smooth Operation

Excellent for EV Prototyping
This board handled my 48V hub motor perfectly. The FOC implementation is smooth and the current sensing is accurate. Highly recommend for electric bike projects.

Runs Hot at Max Load
Works great at 10A, but gets warm near the 20A limit without active cooling. Make sure to add a fan if pushing maximum current continuously.

Solid Hardware, Docs Need Work
The hardware quality is top-notch and it runs cool under moderate load. However, the example code could use more comments for beginners.
Q: Can I upload my own custom firmware to the board?
A: Yes, the bootloader is unlocked. You have full access to flash custom firmware via the SWD interface.
Q: What is the maximum voltage this board can handle safely?
A: The board is rated for a maximum input voltage of 48V DC. Please do not exceed this limit to avoid damage.
Q: Which IDEs are supported for programming the STM32G431?
A: You can use STM32CubeIDE, Keil MDK, or IAR Embedded Workbench. We provide example projects for STM32CubeIDE.
Q: Does this support CAN FD or only classic CAN?
A: This board supports classic CAN 2.0 up to 1Mbps. It does not support CAN FD.
Q: Is a heat sink included with the development board?
A: No, a heat sink is not included. The PCB has a thermal pad designed for you to attach your own cooling solution.
