Tiny but mighty
Impressed by the logic elements available in this form factor. I used it for a custom video processing project and it handled the load well.

Solid development tool
Works as advertised. The RISC-V core implementation is interesting for embedded projects. Would recommend buying a programmer cable separately just in case.

Best value for GOWIN chips
Hard to beat this price point for a GW1NR-9 board. USB-C power delivery is convenient. Shipping was fast too.

Great hardware, steep learning curve
The board itself is high quality and compact. However, beginners should be prepared to spend time learning the GOWIN IDE. Worth the price.
Q: Does the package include a USB cable?
A: Yes, a USB Type-C cable is included in the box for power and programming.
Q: What is the voltage tolerance for the GPIO pins?
A: The user IO pins operate at 3.3V logic level. Please ensure external components are compatible to avoid damage.
Q: Is Verilog supported on this board?
A: Yes, the GOWIN FPGA Designer supports both Verilog and VHDL for programming this device.
Q: Is this compatible with Linux operating systems?
A: The hardware is OS agnostic. The GOWIN software tools are primarily available for Windows, but community drivers exist for Linux.
Q: Can I run a soft CPU core on this FPGA?
A: Yes, the board supports the RISC-V RV32E soft core which can be implemented within the fabric.
