Excellent LoRa Range
I tested this against my older ESP32 LoRa boards and the S3 v3 consistently achieves better range and stability. The USB-C connection is also a welcome upgrade.

Battery Charging Needs Care
The board works well, but be careful with the battery input voltage. I wish there was more clear labeling on the maximum charging current supported. Functionality is good otherwise.

Perfect for Meshtastic Projects
This board works flawlessly with Meshtastic firmware. The LoRa range is impressive and the OLED display is bright enough to read outdoors. Setup was straightforward using the web flasher.

Arduino IDE Compatible
Uploaded my first sketch within minutes. The board is recognized immediately by the IDE once the correct board manager URL is added. Very happy with this purchase.

Great Hardware, Docs Could Be Better
The build quality is excellent and the SX1262 chip performs well. However, finding specific pinout documentation for some GPIOs took some digging. Otherwise, a solid dev board.
Q: What is the maximum battery voltage supported?
A: The board supports standard single-cell Li-Po batteries, typically operating between 3.7V and 4.2V.
Q: Is there a debugging interface available?
A: Yes, the USB Type-C port provides UART debugging capabilities out of the box without needing an external programmer.
Q: Can I flash Meshtastic firmware directly?
A: Yes, this board is Meshtastic ready. You can use the web flasher or esptool to install the firmware easily.
Q: Are the GPIO pins 5V tolerant?
A: No, the ESP32-S3 operates at 3.3V logic levels. Applying 5V directly to GPIO pins may damage the board.
Q: Does this board come with an external antenna?
