Great for prototyping
Works perfectly with Arduino IDE. The WROVER support is a huge plus for my memory-intensive projects. Highly recommended for IoT beginners.

Solid board for the price. Pin headers were slightly loose on arrival but soldered fine. Wi-Fi range is decent for indoor use.

Decent board
Functionality is fine but documentation was hard to find for specific pin mappings. Had to search forums to get started.
Q: Is an antenna included?
A: Yes, an onboard PCB antenna is included. There is also a connector for an external antenna if needed.
Q: Does this support MicroPython?
A: Yes, it is fully compatible with MicroPython firmware. You can flash it using esptool.py.
Q: Can I use this with 5V logic?
A: No, GPIOs are 3.3V logic level. Connecting 5V directly may damage the board. Use a level shifter.
Q: What is the max current output?
A: The 3.3V pin can supply up to 600mA depending on the USB source, but we recommend drawing less for stability.
Q: Does it work with PlatformIO?
A: Yes, PlatformIO supports the ESP32-DevKitC out of the box. Select the appropriate board ID in your configuration.
