Great quality wood
The wood feels very solid and well-finished. I use it under my cast iron skillet sometimes, and it holds up well. Just make sure not to leave it wet.

Nice aesthetic
Looks exactly like the pictures. The grain of the wood is unique. I deducted one star only because it requires occasional oiling to keep it looking fresh.

A: You may notice a mild, natural wood scent upon unboxing, which is normal for untreated solid wood. It will dissipate quickly within a day or two.
Q: Can I put this in the dishwasher?
A: No, please do not submerge the mat in water or place it in a dishwasher. Hand wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately to prevent warping.
Q: Is this mat safe to use directly under a boiling pot?
A: Yes, the solid wood provides excellent heat insulation for hot pots and pans. However, we recommend using it for short durations with extremely high temperatures to preserve the wood's finish.
