Perfect for my Arduino Night Light
Works exactly as described. Adjusted the potentiometer easily to trigger the relay when the room lights go off. Great for DIY automation projects.

Reliable dark detection
I used this to trigger a cooling fan when the enclosure gets dark which indicates the lid is closed. Very responsive and stable output.

Great value for money

Relay is noisy
Functionality is fine and it detects light changes accurately. However, the mechanical relay click is quite loud if you are using it in a quiet room.

Good module, slight wiring confusion
The module works well and is sensitive to light changes. The pinout wasn't clearly labeled on the board itself, so I had to check the datasheet.
Q: Is the activation triggered by light or darkness?
A: It is adjustable. You can use the blue potentiometer to set the threshold for either light-activated or dark-activated switching.
Q: Can I use this with a Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, but please ensure logic levels match. The Pi uses 3.3V logic while this module is 5V. A level shifter may be required for the signal pin.
Q: Can I reverse the logic output without changing code?
A: Yes, turning the potentiometer fully one way or the other will change the trigger point from high-to-low or low-to-high based on light intensity.
Q: What is the maximum load this relay can handle?
A: The relay is rated for 250VAC at 10A or 30VDC at 10A. Please do not exceed these limits to ensure safety and longevity.
Q: Does this module include jumper wires?
A: No, the package includes only the sensor module. Jumper wires need to be purchased separately based on your project requirements.
