Good sensor, needs calibration
Hardware is solid. You definitely need to calibrate it with known solutions to get accurate ppm readings. Good value for money.

Reliable for education
Bought 10 for our workshop. All units performed consistently. Great for teaching water quality basics without breaking the budget.

STM32 Compatible
I used this with an STM32F103 board. The 3.3V logic level works fine. Code examples online were helpful for getting started.

Perfect for my hydroponics setup
Works exactly as described. Easy to interface with my Arduino Uno. The analog output is stable after warming up for a few minutes.

Instructions lacking
The sensor works but the included manual is very basic. Had to search forums for calibration code. Otherwise functional.
Q: Can I use this with 5V Raspberry Pi?
A: The Pi uses 3.3V logic for ADC. You may need an external ADC chip like ADS1115 for best results to avoid damaging the GPIO.
Q: How often should I calibrate?
A: We recommend calibration every few weeks depending on usage frequency and the type of solution being measured.
Q: Is the probe submersible?
A: Yes, the probe is designed for liquid immersion, but the circuit board itself is not waterproof and should be kept dry.
Q: Can this measure saltwater?
A: It can detect high TDS in saltwater, but extreme salinity may exceed the 1000ppm range accuracy specifications.
Q: What is the maximum current draw?
A: The module typically draws around 5mA during operation, which is suitable for most microcontroller pins.
