Documentation could be better
The sensor itself is accurate, but finding the default Modbus address took some trial and error. Support was helpful eventually.

Good accuracy, easy setup
Works well for our greenhouse project. Only giving 4 stars because the wiring diagram could be clearer, but once connected it performs reliably.

Reliable data logging
Using this for environmental logging in a storage facility. Humidity readings are consistent and the RS485 connection is very stable over long distances.
Q: Can this module operate on 5V power?
A: No, this industrial transmitter requires a power input between 12V and 24V DC to ensure stable RS485 communication.
Q: Can I connect multiple modules on the same bus?
A: Yes, you can daisy-chain multiple modules. Each device must have a unique Modbus slave address configured before installation.
Q: Is this suitable for outdoor installation?
A: Yes, the IP65 housing protects against dust and water jets, making it suitable for outdoor use provided the cable entries are sealed properly.
Q: Does it come with a calibration certificate?
A: Each unit is factory calibrated. A general compliance certificate is included, but individual traceable calibration is available upon request.
Q: What is the maximum cable length for RS485?
A: RS485 can support up to 1200 meters depending on baud rate and cable quality. We recommend using shielded twisted pair cable.
