Great for my garden project
Works perfectly with my ESP32 setup. The capacitive design means no corrosion like my old resistive sensors. Highly recommended for automation.

No corrosion so far
Had resistive ones before that rusted in a week. This one has been in the soil for a month and still looks brand new.

Solid build quality
PCB looks nice and the gold plating gives confidence. Cable could be a bit longer but otherwise excellent.

Good sensor, needs calibration
Accurate once calibrated for your specific soil type. Took some time to get the thresholds right but works well now.

Easy to integrate
Plug and play with Arduino. The library examples found online work straight out of the box. Very satisfied.
Q: Can I leave it in soil permanently?
A: Yes, the capacitive design is corrosion-resistant and suitable for long-term insertion in soil.
Q: How long is the connection cable?
A: The included Dupont wire cable is approximately 20cm in length.
Q: Is the probe part waterproof?
A: Yes, the probe is designed to be inserted into soil and withstand moisture. However, the module board itself should be kept dry.
Q: What pin is VCC?
A: The pins are usually marked on the PCB. Typically, the middle pin is VCC, but please check the silkscreen on your specific module.
Q: Does this work with 3.3V logic?
A: Yes, the sensor operates within a 3.3V to 5V DC range, making it compatible with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers.
