Perfect for transitioning students
I bought this for my daughter who is moving from a smaller student guitar to a full-size instrument. The solid top gives it a rich, warm tone that sounds much more expensive than it is. The built-in transducer is a huge plus for her recitals.

Best gift for my son
My son needed a reliable guitar for his music classes. This model fits him perfectly despite being a full size, as the neck profile is very playable. The case included was a nice bonus, though we bought a hard case separately for extra protection.

Yamaha quality shines through

Excellent for recording

Solid top makes a difference
The solid spruce top really opens up the sound compared to laminate models I've tried. It takes a little time to break in, but the tone is becoming richer every day. The only minor issue is the tuning pegs feel a bit stiff initially.

Great value classical guitar
As an adult beginner, I wanted something authentic but affordable. The action is comfortable right out of the box, and the nylon strings are gentle on the fingers. The electronics work well when plugged into my amp.
