Sturdy but needs two people
The build quality is excellent and feels very durable. I recommend having a helper for installation as holding the board while drilling can be tricky. Once up, it handles wind very well.

Nice aesthetic upgrade

Great value for money
I bought this for my garden gate to protect the lock from rusting. It fits perfectly and the bronze color matches my fence nicely. Very happy with this purchase.

A: When installed correctly with all provided hardware, it is rated to withstand wind speeds up to 60 mph. We recommend retracting or adding extra support in extreme storm conditions.
Q: Can I cut the width to fit a custom space?
A: While the aluminum brackets can be adjusted slightly, cutting the polycarbonate board is not recommended as it may compromise the structural integrity and void the warranty. Please order the size closest to your measurement.
Q: Do I need to drill into the window frame itself?
A: No, the brackets are designed to mount to the wall or lintel above the window or door, not the window frame, to avoid damaging the glass or seal.
Q: Is the polycarbonate board scratch-resistant?
A: The board has a hard coating that provides good resistance to minor scratches and hail, but we advise against cleaning it with abrasive materials or high-pressure washers directly on the surface.
Q: Can this awning be installed on vinyl siding?
A: Yes, but we recommend using specific vinyl siding mounting blocks or ensuring screws anchor directly into the wall studs behind the siding for maximum security.
