Good but tight fit
The quality is excellent, but the inner diameter was slightly tight for my shaft. I had to do some light reaming to get the perfect clearance. Otherwise, great product.
Q: Do I need to add oil during installation?
A: While the bushings are oil-impregnated, we recommend applying a light coat of machine oil during installation to ensure initial lubrication and prevent galling.
Q: What is the tolerance on the inner diameter?
A: The inner diameter follows standard sintered bronze tolerances, typically +0.001/-0.000 inches. Please measure your shaft for proper clearance fit.
Q: Can this be used outdoors in wet conditions?
A: Bronze offers good corrosion resistance, but for prolonged outdoor exposure in wet conditions, we recommend additional protective measures or regular maintenance.
Q: Is this compatible with stainless steel shafts?
A: Yes, these bronze bushings work well with hardened steel and stainless steel shafts. Ensure the shaft surface finish is smooth to maximize bushing life.
