Saved my bed frame!

Sturdy and reliable

Good product, missing one screw

The connectors themselves are solid and do the job well. However, my package was missing one screw, so I had to use one from my own toolbox. Check your box before starting.

Easy DIY solution

No woodworking skills needed. Just align the pieces, place the connector, and screw it in. The included screws were the perfect length so they didn't poke through the other side of the slat.

Better than expected

Strong fix, slightly visible

These connectors are very strong and hold the wood together perfectly. The only reason for 4 stars is that the black metal is quite visible against my light oak slats, but functionally, it works great.

Q: How many kits do I need if three slats are broken?

A: Each kit contains 4 connectors. Since one broken slat typically requires one connector (or two for extra safety), one kit should be sufficient to repair up to 4 slats.

Q: Can I paint over the connectors to match my bed?

A: Yes, the powder-coated surface can be painted. We recommend lightly sanding the surface and using a metal primer before applying your chosen color for best adhesion.

Q: Will this work on a slat that is split lengthwise?

A: This kit is designed primarily for transverse breaks (snapped across the width). For lengthwise splits, you may need multiple connectors or a different reinforcement strategy.

Q: Are the screws long enough for thick hardwood slats?

A: The included screws are 1 inch long, suitable for standard slats up to 0.75 inches thick. For thicker hardwood, we recommend using slightly longer #8 wood screws.

Q: Is there a weight limit for the repaired slat?

A: When installed correctly on a standard pine or oak slat, each connector supports up to 300 lbs. The total limit depends on the condition of the surrounding wood and the bed frame structure.
