Professional quality

Great beginner instrument

As someone new to wind instruments, I found this very easy to play. It took a few days to get the embouchure right, but once I did, the notes were clear. Deducting one star because the carrying bag is a bit thin.

Lovely sound, needs breaking in

The flute sounds amazing after playing it for a week. Initially, it was a bit airy, but the bamboo seems to have settled nicely. The Key E is perfect for folk songs.

Beautiful tone for the price

Q: Which key is best for a complete beginner?

A: We generally recommend the Key C or Key F for beginners. These keys require moderate breath control and have finger spacing that is comfortable for most adult hand sizes.

Q: Can this flute be played outdoors in cold weather?

A: Bamboo is sensitive to extreme temperature changes. Playing in very cold weather can cause the bamboo to crack. We suggest warming the flute gently in your hands before playing if the environment is cool.

Q: Is the lacquer finish food safe?

A: Yes, the natural lacquer used on our flutes is non-toxic and safe for contact with lips. However, the instrument is designed for musical performance, not consumption.

Q: How do I clean the inside of the flute?

A: Use the included cleaning rod with a soft, dry cloth attached. Gently pass it through the bore after each playing session to remove moisture. Do not use water or chemical cleaners inside the bamboo.

Q: Does this flute come with a tutorial book or guide?

A: The package includes a basic care instruction card. While a full tutorial book is not included, we recommend checking our website for free video guides on how to play bamboo flutes.
