Great quality but assembly instructions unclear

A: On the lowest speed setting, the battery can last up to 8 hours. Higher speeds will reduce the duration proportionally.
Q: Can the rocking direction be changed?
A: The unit is designed for a specific side-to-side gliding motion optimized for infant safety and cannot be reversed or changed to up-and-down.
Q: Is the hammock machine washable?
A: Yes, the cotton mesh cover is removable and can be gently machine washed on a cold cycle. Please air dry only.
