Better than expected!
I was worried the wood might feel cheap, but the basswood is high quality and smells great. The miniature furniture details, like the tiny tea set and scrolls, are adorable. It took me about 8 hours to complete, but I enjoyed every minute of it.

Beautiful but missing one piece
The model itself is gorgeous and the concept is unique. However, my kit was missing one specific pillar for the gate. I contacted support and they sent a replacement quickly, which bumped my rating up, but it did pause my project for a few days.

Perfect stress reliever
As someone who works at a computer all day, assembling this by hand was therapeutic. The New Chinese style is elegant and not overly complicated. The LED lighting adds such a cozy atmosphere to the finished piece. Highly recommend for DIY enthusiasts.

Solid construction, intricate design
The interlocking mechanism is clever and holds well once assembled. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the English translation in the manual had a few confusing steps regarding the roof assembly. I figured it out by looking at the diagrams, but clearer text would help.

Great gift, but requires steady hands
Bought this for my daughter who loves architecture. The design captures the traditional aesthetic perfectly. Some of the smaller window frames were a bit tricky to snap in without breaking, so we used a tiny bit of wood glue just to be safe. Overall, a very satisfying project.

Exquisite detail and relaxing build
The laser cutting on these wooden pieces is incredibly precise. I spent a weekend assembling this Chinese courtyard model, and the result is stunning. The instructions were clear, though patience is needed for the tiny roof tiles. It looks beautiful on my bookshelf with the lights on.

A: While the design is fun, we recommend this for ages 14 and up. It involves many small parts and requires fine motor skills and patience. Younger children should only build it under strict adult supervision.
Q: Do I need to buy glue separately to assemble this model?
A: Generally, no. The pieces are laser-cut to fit together snugly. However, for extra durability on small decorative items or if you plan to move the model frequently, a small amount of wood glue is recommended.
