Great sound, easy install
The audio clarity is excellent for voice announcements. Installation was straightforward thanks to the standard cut-out size. Only giving 4 stars because the manual could be more detailed regarding network configuration.

Perfect for our school PA system
We installed these in our high school corridors. The one-to-one broadcast feature works flawlessly with our control software. Sound quality is clear and the multi-voltage input made wiring very flexible.

Excellent addressable speaker
Finally found a ceiling speaker that integrates well with our IP broadcasting system. The latency is negligible, and the volume is sufficient for large open spaces.
Q: Can these be used outdoors under a covered patio?
A: These units are designed for indoor ceiling installation. While a covered patio protects from direct rain, we do not recommend them for areas with high humidity or temperature fluctuations unless additional protection is used.
Q: Does 'One-to-One Broadcast' mean I can target specific speakers individually?
A: Exactly. When connected to a compatible IP paging server or controller, you can select individual units or groups to broadcast messages to specific zones only.
Q: Can this speaker operate on a standard 24V security power supply?
A: Yes, the Chuhai Hongfeng speaker supports 24V DC input directly, making it compatible with most standard security and fire alarm power supplies.
Q: Is an external amplifier needed for this unit?
A: No, this is an active (powered) speaker with a built-in amplifier. You only need to provide the appropriate power source (12V, 24V, or 220V) and the audio signal.
Q: What is the required ceiling cut-out diameter for installation?
A: The required cut-out diameter is 230mm. Please ensure your ceiling tiles can accommodate this size before purchasing.
