Great quality, slightly loud
The build quality is excellent and it sharpens pencils very quickly. The only minor downside is that the hand-crank mechanism makes a bit of a grinding noise, but it's not a dealbreaker. The shavings bin is easy to empty.

Perfect for my first grader!
This sharpener is a game changer for homework time. The automatic feed means my daughter doesn't have to push too hard, and the five settings let us choose how pointy we want the pencil. Very sturdy construction.

Durable and safe
Bought this for my twin boys who tend to break everything. This sharpener has survived a month of heavy use without any issues. The blades are enclosed safely, so I don't worry about them cutting their fingers.

No more mess!
I love that the shavings stay inside the container. Before this, we had pencil dust all over the desk. The adjustable settings are great for colored pencils versus standard writing pencils. Highly recommend for elementary students.

Good value for money
Works exactly as described. The hand crank is smooth enough for small hands to operate. I took off one star because the suction cups on the bottom could be stronger to keep it fixed to the table during vigorous cranking.

I bought three of these for my classroom. They handle dozens of pencils a day without dulling. The different settings help when students are using specific art pencils. Easy to clean and maintain.
Q: Is the blade replaceable if it gets dull?
A: The steel blade is designed for long-term durability with normal home or classroom use. While it is high-quality, the unit is not designed for user blade replacement; however, the blade typically lasts for several years.
Q: How do I clean the shavings out?
A: The shavings container is transparent and detachable. Simply pull the bin out from the bottom of the unit, empty the contents into the trash, and snap it back into place.
