Great drum, minor tuning needed
The 10-inch size is perfect for higher pitch rhythms. The cowhide stretched a bit after the first hour of playing, so I had to retune the ropes, which is normal for natural skins. Sound is authentic and deep.

Exceeded expectations

Incredible resonance and build quality

Professional grade instrument
We bought three of the 16-inch war drums for our cultural festival. They project incredibly well outdoors. The solid wood construction feels durable and substantial.

A: While the solid wood is durable, natural cowhide heads are sensitive to extreme humidity and rain. For outdoor use in wet conditions, we recommend covering the drum when not in use or considering a synthetic head replacement.
Q: How do I tune the cowhide head if it loosens over time?
A: This drum uses a traditional rope tension system. You can tighten the head by pulling the vertical ropes downward and sliding the leather rings or knots up to increase tension. A video guide is available on our product page.
