Great value, beautiful finish
I bought the black coated 30cm gong. The finish is sleek and the low pitch is very grounding. The only reason for 4 stars is the mallet could be slightly softer.

Exceeded expectations
Shipping was fast and the packaging protected the gong well. The 21cm high pitch version is crisp and cuts through nicely in ensemble playing.

Lovely addition to my home
It looks beautiful hanging in my living room. The sound is pleasant, though it takes a little practice to strike it correctly to avoid dissonance.

Authentic sound
As a musician, I was looking for an authentic Wu Gong sound without breaking the bank. This delivers exactly what I needed. The harmonics are rich and complex.

Excellent craftsmanship
You can tell this is made with care. The bronze alloy feels substantial and the resonance lasts for a long time after a single strike. Very happy with this purchase.
Q: Can I use a regular drumstick instead of the provided mallet?
A: Yes, you can use other mallets, but we recommend using soft-headed mallets to protect the bronze surface and achieve the best tonal quality. Hard sticks may create a harsher attack.
Q: How do I clean the bronze surface if it tarnishes?
A: To maintain the shine, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a specialized bronze polish. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the finish.
Q: Does this come with a stand to hang the gong?
A: This product includes a hanging cord attached to the gong, but a separate floor stand is not included. You can hang it from a hook or use a universal gong stand available separately.
Q: What is the difference between the Su Gong and Wu Gong models?
A: The Su Gong typically offers a brighter, more direct tone suitable for signaling or rhythmic patterns, while the Wu Gong produces a deeper, more wash-like sound ideal for meditation and ambient textures.
Q: Is the 30cm gong too loud for apartment use?
A: The 30cm low pitch gong does have a powerful resonance. While you can control the volume by how hard you strike it, neighbors might hear it. We recommend the 21cm or 22cm models for smaller spaces.
