Perfect for my home projects
This Butterfly machine is incredibly sturdy. The metal frame handles thick denim without any issues, and the foot pedal gives great control over speed.

Great value but loud
It sews beautifully and the buttonhole function works well. My only complaint is that it is a bit louder than my previous plastic machine, but the durability makes up for it.

Good machine, confusing manual
The machine itself works fine once you figure it out, but the instruction manual could be clearer. Had to watch online videos to set up the bobbin correctly.

Easy to thread
I was worried about threading since I have poor eyesight, but the auto-threading feature on the needle is a lifesaver. Highly recommend for beginners.

Q: Can this machine sew through leather?
A: Yes, the JH8530A has a heavy-duty metal frame and powerful motor capable of handling thin to medium-weight leather, though we recommend testing on scraps first.
Q: What is the maximum stitch width?
A: The maximum zigzag stitch width for this model is 5mm, which is suitable for most decorative stitching and finishing edges.
Q: Does it come with a walking foot?
