A: In a 500-gallon spa, one 2g tablet typically raises the chlorine level significantly. Depending on bather load and sunlight exposure, one tablet usually maintains sanitation for 1 to 2 days. We suggest testing your water regularly to determine the exact frequency.
Q: Do these tablets contain stabilizer (CYA)?
A: Yes, since the active ingredient is Trichloroisocyanuric Acid (Trichlor), these tablets do contain cyanuric acid (stabilizer) which helps protect the chlorine from being degraded by sunlight. This is beneficial for outdoor pools and spas.
Q: What should I do if the tablets arrive clumped together?
A: If moisture has caused the tablets to clump during shipping, you can gently break them apart. As long as they are not turned into powder, they will still be effective. Store the container in a cool, dry place immediately to prevent further clumping.
Q: Can I put these tablets directly into the skimmer basket?
A: For best results with these fast-dissolving 2g tablets, we recommend using a floating dispenser or dissolving them in a bucket of water first before pouring around the pool perimeter. Putting them directly in the skimmer may cause them to dissolve too quickly and damage the equipment.
